This genuine vintage U.S. Army Anti-Aircraft Command shoulder sleeve insignia is a compelling piece of WWII history. While officially authorized for the Anti-Aircraft Command from December 1942 until March 1947, this exact basic design (a large "A" on a white disc) was also famously used by the Third Army, commanded by General George S. Patton. The design features bold red letters ("AA" or simply "A") set against a white disc with a blue border, utilizing national colors.
  • Service Branch: U.S. Army Anti-Aircraft Command or Third Army.
  • Insignia History: Emblem used 1942-1947.
  • Era and Construction: World War II period. "Cut edge" style and robust embroidered construction.
  • Condition: Shows signs of age and use, including minor fraying around the edges and slight discoloration expected of a patch removed from a uniform after active service.
